            1. Sense of Self

 

            Possible Indicators for establishing whether the student has met the learning outcome

 

            a.     Student articulates his or her belief and value system.

 

            b.     Student understands how his or her worldview and identity has been socially, culturally, and historically constructed.

 

            c.     Student behaves in a way that is congruent with his or her values.

 

2.       Knowledge of Cultural Diversity and American Pluralism

 

             Possible Indicators for establishing whether the student has met the learning outcome

 

             a.     Student understands the commonalities and differences between and among religious/spiritual traditions and within the Christian tradition.

 

             b.     Student critically analyzes his or her own culture.

 

             c.     Student understands how cultures inform, impact, influence, and impinge on each other.

 

3.       Ability to Interact Cross-Culturally

 

             Possible Indicators for establishing whether the student has met the learning outcome

 

             a.     Student demonstrates the capacity to communicate outside his or her cultural group.

 

             b.     Student manages the complexities of interacting with others outside his or her cultural group.

 

             c.     Student understands the global conversations surrounding science, math, and technology.

 

             d.     Student is exposed to diverse cultural legacies.

 

             e.     Student displays a non-judgmental perspective of another culture and another culture’s beliefs.
