IL General Learning Outcomes
General Information Literacy Outcomes may include:Students are able to:
1. Use the library and internet sources appropriately to explore a topic.
2. Identify, select and use appropriate sources
3. Demonstrate the ability to construct an effective search strategy
4. Select, understand, and use appropriate documentation style to cite sources.
5. Examine and compare information from various sources
6. Select an appropriate number of sources
7. Choose information relevant to their focus and audience.
8. Synthesize information from diverse sources to reach an informed conclusion.
9. Organize information in a way that meets the requirements of the assignment.
