Students are able to:
- Identify an appropriate investigative method (e.g., laboratory experiment, simulation, fieldwork, content or historical analysis) and develop a research plan appropriate to the investigative method.
- Examine and compare information from various sources in order to evaluate reliability, validity, accuracy, authority, timeliness, and point of view or bias.
- Demonstrate an understanding of intellectual property, copyright, and fair use of copyrighted material.
- Communicate clearly and with a style that supports the purpose of the intended audience.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how one’s own research contributes to the body of knowledge in the discipline.
