Capstone Information Literacy Outcomes may include:

1. Identify an appropriate investigative method (e.g., laboratory experiment, simulation, fieldwork, content or historical analysis) and develop a research plan appropriate to the investigative method.

2. Examine and compare information from various sources in order to evaluate reliability, validity, accuracy, authority, timeliness, and point of view or bias.

3. Demonstrate an understanding of intellectual property, copyright, and fair use of copyrighted material.

4. Communicate clearly and with a style that supports the purpose of the intended audience.

5. Demonstrate an understanding of how one’s own research contributes to the body of knowledge in the discipline.
