Finding Articles

  

The primary periodical databases, HealthSource, ProQuest Family Health, ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health and PubMed are available by selecting the Exercise Science and Health Promotion subject link on the Library's Databases page.  

  

PMC aka PubMedCentral is a digital archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).   
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/   Use the PMC citation search if you have an author, article title, journal title, etc.  

 

PubMed is the premier database for Medicine and the Health Sciences car insurance quotes. Southport Connecticut  PubMed contains over 21 million citations for journals and e-books.  Tutorials on the PubMed site show you how to locate articles in a specific journal or by citation.    

  

 

Finding Journals

To locate a specific journal such as, Connective Tissue Research, use the library's Journals list; an A to Z list of available journals. 

 

  • From the library's homepage select the Journals tab.  
  • In the find box enter the title of the journal and select search.  
  • The result list will provide information on locating the journal either in print* or electronic format. 

    *Please note print journals can be obtained by visiting the library during regular hours.

  • Select the hyperlink for the preferred format and follow the links to locate the journal.
